Regarding his signing with Season of Mist, he said, "I had never lost touch with the guys at Season of Mist after I left MAYHEM, and when they said they were interested in releasing my new album, it seemed very natural to continue working with them."
"Skandinavisk Misantropi" is the first studio album from SKITLIV following the release of the "Amfetamin" live CD, which was a one-off collaboration with the Cold Spring label.
Rounding SKITLIV's lineup of Maniac on guitars and vocals, SHINING's Niklas "Kvarforth" Olsson on guitar and backing vocals, and Ingvar on guitar, for the recording of "Skandinavisk Misantrpi" are Tore Moren (JORN, CARNIVORA, ex-ARCTURUS) on bass, and Dag Otto (HAUST) on drums.
